Kampala, Uganda – The 2025 edition of the Beaujolais Nouveau once again brought together hundreds of partners and friends around a French tradition that has now taken firm root in Uganda.
Supported by the Franco-Ugandan Chamber of Commerce, the French Chamber of Commerce in Uganda (FCCU), which brings together more than 80 companies, half of which are Ugandan, the event illustrates the vitality of a rapidly growing economic partnership and confirms the central role of economic exchanges between our two countries.
With US$4 billion in investments between 2024 and 2026 and more than 3,000 direct jobs created, French companies, the leading foreign investors in Uganda, are winning contracts and expanding their activities in cooperation with the Ugandan private sector, creating jobs in both France and Uganda and generating added value, particularly for young people and women.
This year, French expertise was also showcased through training dedicated to the arts of cheese and charcuterie for 12 Ugandan chefs, led by master cheesemaker Grégory Giraudon, who was the vice-champion of France in Cheesemaking in 2015 and vice world champion in 2021.
800 guests gathered to celebrate solid cooperation and the prospects of shared growth.
