Dar es Salaam, Tanzania – The Uganda High Commission in Dar es Salaam, in collaboration with the Uganda Free Zones and Export Promotions Authority (UFZEPA), showcased Uganda’s growing export potential at the 50th Dar es Salaam International Trade Fair (Saba Saba 2026) through a vibrant Made in Uganda Pavilion.
The exhibition brought together some of Uganda’s leading exporters, including Roofings Group, Pearl Dairy (Lato Milk), NUCAFE, Nile Chocolate and Movit Products, highlighting the country’s expanding manufacturing capacity and commitment to value addition. Visitors experienced Uganda’s diverse range of products through business engagements, product exhibitions and live coffee tastings, reinforcing Uganda’s reputation as an emerging source of quality exports.
The participation came at a time of growing trade between Uganda and Tanzania, one of Uganda’s key regional trading partners. In 2024, Uganda exported goods worth approximately US$165 million to Tanzania, with iron and steel products, dairy products, cosmetics and processed agricultural products among the country’s key exports.
Beyond showcasing Ugandan products, the fair provided a strategic platform to strengthen commercial partnerships, attract investment and expand market access within Tanzania, the East African Community and the wider COMESA region, further advancing Uganda’s export-led growth agenda and regional economic integration.
