Amb.Allan Kajik,  Charge d’Affaires of Uganda High Commission in Ottawa led a team to showcase Uganda as a premier adventure and sustainable tourism destination, highlighting unique natural Uganda’s endowment in the Big Five plus Two (mountain gorilla and Chimpanzees), the Source of the Nile, cultural heritage, more than a thousand bird species including the famous shoebill, the peculiar tree climbing lions, the eco adventures, and community based tourism among others to thousands of visitors that visited the booth

Under the theme ‘Unveiling Uganda’, award winning travel expert Lorraine Simpson, described Uganda as visually stunning, culturally immersive, and authentically welcoming. While noting the spectacular gorilla trekking experience supported by competitively priced permits, Lorraine underscored the need to conserve the endangered species which drove her into writing a book titled My Name Is Neru and This Is My Forest, the life of a baby gorilla aimed at teaching children about conservation.

Uganda High Commission also promoted Uganda’s premium coffee through the campaign, ‘Win a Year of Uganda Coffee delivered at Your Doorstep’ aligning tourism promotion with trade and agricultural branding. Uganda’s participation reinforces its commitment to economic and commercial diplomacy, strengthening Uganda–Canada relations and elevating the Pearl of Africa as a competitive global destination.
