Kampala, Uganda –  The Minister of State for Foreign Affairs (International Affairs), Hon. Okello Henry Oryem, held a bilateral meeting with H.E. Ahmed Mohammed Abdulrahman Abdullah Al Zwaidi, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Uganda. During the meeting, Hon. Oryem reaffirmed Uganda’s commitment to strengthening bilateral cooperation with Qatar, citing the country’s stability, security, and a conducive environment as key pillars for investment.

Ambassador Al Zwaidi praised Uganda’s natural beauty, highlighting his recent experience at Murchison Falls and the well-developed road network beyond Kampala. He expressed Qatar’s readiness to operationalise pending Memoranda of Understanding and to engage key sectors such as agriculture and manufacturing, leveraging Uganda’s potential for growth. Both parties expressed optimism on deepening bilateral ties and exploring new areas of cooperation.
