Entebbe, Uganda – H.E Yoweri Kaguta Museveni received Letters of Credence from six Ambassadors-designate accredited to Uganda at State House Entebbe. The presentation of credentials marked the official commencement of the envoys’ diplomatic assignments in Uganda and reaffirmed the country’s continued engagement with the international community. The Ambassadors who presented their credentials included
- H.E. Ahmed Mohammed Abdulrahman Abdullah Al-Zweidi from the State of Qatar
- H.E. Juan Humberto Macìas Pino from the Republic of Cuba
- H.E. Seddiki Nafaa from the the Sahrawi Republic
- H.E. Gideon Behar from the State of Israel
- H.E. Jaime Moreno Bau from the Kingdom of Spain
- H.E. Màrio De Azevedo Constantino from the Republic of Angola
During the ceremony, President Museveni welcomed the ambassadors and reaffirmed Uganda’s commitment to strengthening bilateral relations and deepening cooperation in areas of mutual interest. These included trade and investment promotion, technology transfer, education partnerships, and efforts that contribute to regional peace and stability. The President further underscored that Uganda remained open to partnerships that support value addition, economic transformation, and sustainable development. He wished the ambassadors successful tenures and assured them of Uganda’s support in the execution of their diplomatic responsibilities as they work to advance cooperation between their respective countries and Uganda.
