HERNING, DENMARK
Herning, Denmark – Uganda took centre stage at the opening of the Danish Travel Show (Ferie for Alle), Scandinavia’s largest travel exhibition, held from 20–22 February 2026 at the MCH Messecenter Herning. The expo was officially opened by Ugandan-born Danish entertainer Melvin Kakooza, whose keynote address highlighted the unifying power of travel and cultural exchange, reflecting the enduring ties between Uganda and Denmark.
Uganda was represented by H.E. Margaret M. Otteskov, Ambassador of Uganda to the Nordics and Baltic States, accompanied by her diplomatic team, underscoring Uganda’s commitment to strengthening tourism and investment partnerships in the Nordic region.
