Kampala, Uganda – On the sidelines of the 19th NAM Ministerial Review Meeting, Uganda and Azerbaijan signed an MoU on visa waivers for Diplomatic and Service or Official Passport holders, aimed at easing the movement of government officials as bilateral engagements grow.
The signing builds on an earlier MoU on Political Consultations and continued efforts to deepen cooperation between the Embassy of Uganda in Tehran, which is accredited to Azerbaijan, and Azerbaijani authorities. Hon. David Muhoozi, Minister of State for Internal Affairs, signed on behalf of Uganda, while Hon. Samir Sharifov, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, signed for Azerbaijan, witnessed by Hon. Oryem Henry Okello, Minister of State for International Affairs.
