MOSCOW, RUSSIA
From the Pearl of Africa to the global tourism stage in Moscow, the Embassy of the Republic of Uganda proudly participated in the MITT International Travel & Hospitality Exhibition held from 11–13 March 2026 at the Crocus Expo International Exhibition Center. The exhibition provided Uganda with a strategic platform to showcase its exceptional tourism potential to international travel professionals, investors, and global tourism stakeholders.
Through its participation in the event, the Embassy of Uganda in Moscow, working closely with national tourism stakeholders, presented the country as one of Africa’s most diverse and compelling destinations. Uganda’s tourism portfolio highlights breathtaking landscapes, vibrant cultural heritage, extraordinary wildlife encounters, and a growing range of adventure tourism experiences that appeal to global travelers seeking authentic and sustainable destinations.
Widely known as the “Pearl of Africa,” Uganda offers visitors some of the continent’s most remarkable natural attractions. Among these is the iconic source of the Nile River located in Jinja, alongside expansive national parks and the world’s highest concentration of primates. Uganda’s tourism experiences range from the globally renowned mountain gorilla trekking expeditions to immersive cultural tourism and eco-adventure activities.
Participation in the MITT exhibition enabled Uganda to engage directly with international tour operators, travel agencies, hospitality investors, and tourism promotion organizations. These engagements are aimed at strengthening partnerships that will expand tourism flows, deepen cooperation with the Russian and broader global travel markets, and position Uganda as a competitive destination within the international tourism industry.
