LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM
On 5 November 2025, H.E. Ambassador Nimisha Madhvani, Uganda’s High Commissioner to the UK and Ireland delivered a keynote address at a high-level global health reform event hosted at the UK Parliament by the All-Party Parliamentary Committee on Global Health and Security. The meeting convened experts to discuss strengthening global health governance and improving coordination within the UK Government.
Ambassador Madhvani emphasised that genuine global health reform requires stronger international solidarity, shared responsibility, and a system that serves all nations equitably. She also urged global development institutions to ensure transparency and avoid political biases in health financing.
The event was attended by Ugandan diaspora leader Mr. Moses Mulimira, founder of the UK-Africa Global Health Summit, whose next edition is scheduled for 16-18 March 2026 in London.
