Morocco has taken a major digital leap ahead of the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2025 with the launch of “Yalla”, a comprehensive platform designed to simplify travel and stadium access for fans. The tournament, set to run from 21 December 2025 to 18 January 2026, is expected to attract thousands of supporters from across the continent and beyond.
In a recent statement, the Local Organizing Committee (LOC) announced that the Yalla app available on Google Play, the App Store, and yallamorocco.ma will serve as the exclusive portal for acquiring a Fan ID, which is mandatory for purchasing match tickets and entering stadiums. The Fan ID also unlocks access to free electronic visas (eVisas) for international visitors, a groundbreaking partnership between the LOC and the Confédération Africaine de Football (CAF).
To obtain a Fan ID, users must download the Yalla app, complete the Fan ID and eVisa application forms, and upon approval, proceed to tickets.cafonline.com to buy match tickets. The platform integrates the entire process from visa facilitation to stadium entry marking one of the most ambitious digital innovations ever undertaken for an African sporting event.
According to the LOC, the initiative is aimed at easing travel logistics and enhancing safety while providing faster, more secure access for fans. The streamlined system benefits both international visitors and local supporters, ensuring that all stadiums and official Fan Areas maintain controlled and verified entry.
The 2025 AFCON will be played across nine stadiums in six cities, and officials say the new measures reflect Morocco’s commitment, together with CAF, to delivering a world-class spectator experience. With rising global demand and increased traffic on CAF’s ticketing platform, Yalla is set to redefine how fans engage with Africa’s biggest football celebration.
